One-of-a-Kind BATMAN #67 Golden Age Original Negative Cover of 1951 Issue

  

Win Mortimer Cover Art Mint Condition! This incredibly rare and one-of-a-kind item is from the Golden Age of Comics. It's an original full-sized photo negative from 1951 that was used to create the metal printing plate that produced the cover of BATMAN #67 (October-November 1951). This charming cover with the headline Now It Can Be Told!

Was drawn by Win Mortimer, and shows a giant noose hanging above the Dynamic Duo, who are looking on in shock. As you can see, the printer or engraver touched up one side of the negative with dark red opaque paint.

This was done to prevent those sections from being exposed to light when the negative was photographed to create the printing plate for the cover. The size of the negative is a little larger than 7" x 10.25". The negative is in mint condition, which is amazing for an item that is almost 70 years old.

Most of these negatives were discarded immediately after an issue was printed, but this one survived and is now available to one lucky collector. This item will be a spectacular addition to any Batman collection! It will look spectacular framed... And even better in a 2-sided frame so both sides can be displayed!
