Item #18213 Bermuda Star Line SS Bermuda Star Unique Custom Built Kit Conversion SS Argentina SS Veendam SS Monarch Star SS Enchanted Isle. A fantastic, one-of-a-kind, scale model of the SS Bermuda Star (ex Monarch Star, ex Veendam, ex Moore-McCormack Lines Argentina), a highly-detailed, custom conversion based upon the Revell kit model of the SS Brasil.

The painstaking conversion of the 1:400 scale, 18" model included the alteration of the model's funnel, the shortening of her radar mast, the addition of her upper deck and "Bird Cage lounge, mounting of photo-etched brass rail, the extension of her after decks and relocation of her swimming pool, the. Re-configuration of her Promenade Deck and the installation of accurate and meticulously hand-made tenders. She was deliberately given a "weathered" finish with streaks of rust and faded paint. The model is mounted on an oak-stained plinth with glass dust cover. As stated previously the model, at approximately 1:400 scale, measures 18 in length from bow to stern.

Case dimensions are: 25" x 6.5" x 8.75. Model and case weigh 11.6 lbs.

This unique model was a labor of love by model-maker Ered Matthew, who worked on board the vessel as a guest entertainer. You will not find another.
