William Henry Knife Collectors Series One Of A Kind Sept 2009 Black Lip Pearl

  

This listing is for William Henry B09 Kestrel. It is from the past Quarterly release of the Collectors Series #090918 They do not do this anymore. ONE OF A KIND SEPTEMBER 2009.

Its completion date was September 18, 2009. The Master blades-smith expertly decided to go with the Wave Damascus blade.

It is a subtle but brilliant move to select that William Henry exclusive because it fits the theme of the entire piece. This particular design always reminds me of a set of waves incoming to or departing from the shore. The blossoming and yet melting sun-like symbol below the Waving blade is sculpted with not only hand-carved sterling silver but the sun itself is 22k gold accents.

It truly is just a pocket sized reminder of nature. Beneath that is the scales is the exotic black lip pearl. A treasure born at the bottom of the ocean. From the waves that splash over our beaches to the sun piercing through the waters upon the rainbow of pearls below. I took quite a few pictures of just different positions of the knife.

From one direction, it could look like a full firework of colours and from another direction it can be a glossy shaded brown. As with the ocean, it is beautiful in different ways. Its just how you decide look at it. The thumb and button stone are two smoky quartz quietly beaming with their dark beauty. In contrast, sprinkled along side the powerful sun, are three colored sapphires.

The ZPD-189 core of this knife, mentioned in the COA, is a high carbon Japanese stainless steel core. It was meant for keeping its edge retention and maximum cutting performance. Please, refer to the COA for further and more specific details regarding the knife. The removable and replaceable tray insert of the display box has some wear and expected flaking with age.

The knife has never been carried or sharpened. It is in pristine condition. Please, do not hesitate to contact me with questions.
