Massive 45 Inch Paolo Soleri Rain Chain - SPECTACULAR! 9 Elements (links) hanging above 4 inch Bell with Natural Patina - 6 inch Hanging Rod included. These new issue rain chains from the Soleri foundry are just wonderful. Each is hand made, one of a kind, and really quite beautiful.

Several hanging together in my inventory look spectacular. The smaller rain chains are very nice, but look like toys when hanging next to this see the last foto for demonstration. Hang this 5 pound behemoth in the sun and it will really get noticed.

For hundreds of years, the Japanese have collected rainwater by hanging gutter chains to capture water from the rooftops and gently carry it downward. Form meets function exquisitely in these Soleri Rain Chains made of thick Dalle de Verre stained glass pieces and rust-resistant 16-gauge brass or copper wire.

Often used in church windows, chunks of this colorful glass are hand-cut and lightly-distressed before being wire wrapped and finished with a small Windbell to create each Rain Chain. Of varying lengths, and sometimes interspersed with fossils, crystal geodes, these beautiful Rain Chains are able to withstand the elements and may be displayed indoors or outside. Hand crafted by the skilled artesians at Paolo Soleri Studios Cosanti Arcosanti.

Total hanging length including 6 inch hanging rod is 51 inches. Bell is 5 inches high x 2.5 inches diameter with natural patina. 9 Links, each 3-4 inches in size, 6 of heavy Dalle de Verre glass, 1 beautful polished geode, 2 stones of unknown origin, very cool pieces, but I'm not a geologist.

Total weight is over 5 pounds. NEW WITH TAG FROM THE FOUNDRY - Never Displayed. Please examine all the fotos.
