Japanese Sasano-ittobori Daruma Statue Hand Carved by Kanpu Toda #121. This is a work of art created by carving with a Sasano-ittobori (one-knife carving). The history of Sasano-ittobori dates back more than 1,200 years ago. The craftsman uses the very big knife such as the ax called "Sarukiri" to make Sasano-ittobori.

"Kanpu Toda" is a craftsman of a little Sasano-ittobori. This Daruma is made very well and has very good carving work.

"Kanpu Toda" was born in 1949. His grand master is "The fifth Ichiro Toda" of his father. The body of the daruma has the signature of the author. "The sixth generation of the Kanpu Toda".
