Vintage Art BENARD NKANJO Family of Birds Serpentine & Iron SIGNED Sculptures

  

He never did realize their value and thoroughly enjoyed them in a bay window he built for my mother's plant display. After some research I can report they are sculpted from stone which is thought to be serpentinite or springstone.

The legs are constructed from iron & remain firmly attached to the body. Each bird is clearly marked by Benard Nkanjo, a world celebrated artist from Zimbabwe - known for his hand-carved stone birds. Please understand these are previously owned vintage pieces & do have some restorable surface wear/scratches. You may refer to my photos for detail & message me for further questions.

NOTE: These will be individually & lovingly wrapped (double boxed) to prevent further damage. "Dad Bird" (Largest) is approximately 5.5 inches tall & 6.5 inches long. Weight is 1.5 lbs. "Momma Bird" (Medium) is approximately 3.5 inches tall & 4.75 inches long.

Weight is 7.2 Oz. "Baby Bird" (Smallest) is approximately 3 inches tall & 3.75 inches long. Weight is 4.3 Oz.
