Celebrate the spirit of Mardi Gras and quench your thirst for vintage memorabilia with this antique, framed Double Cola soda poster. Depicting a Mardi Gras/Carnival Queen with her sceptor in hand and mask in the other and the excitement of all the celebrations in the background.. This is a very old original piece of advertising, like our modern day PEPSi or COKE / COCA COLA signs seen in every gas station and convenience store.. This full size large poster measuring 24X35 inches approximately including frame is an extremely RARE specimen made even more salient due to its combined themes of New Orleans and Carnival / Mardi Gras celebrations of its time and what would have been everyday advertising then...

But which for us proves more of a snapshot in time, a beautifully depicted visually stimulating chronicle of a bygone era, one that we can only imagine at today. Adding much importance is the fact that this particular advertisement is the only apparent one of its kind. Making it truly special not only for its cultural import, but for its splendidly survived conditioning!

Although it does have some expected slight tearing and staining especially about the edges, it still holds its own as a singularly surviving example of this particular piece of advertising. We spent weeks and weeks attempting to locate another like it and all attempts turned up empty handed...

This specimen is in fact the ONLY one our research has ever been able to identify! A once in a lifetime opportunity, a true gem for collectors, this piece captures the vibrant essence of New Orleans' gay culture and the timeless allure of classic advertising art.

Gaiety and glitter in New Orleans.. From December until Marsi Gras, old New Orleans is gay with over twenty balls- each with its king, queen and courtiers. Last comes Carnival Week with parades of gaily decorated floats and street celebrations. The poster, steeped in history, is a testament to the brand's legacy and the city's storied celebrations.

It's an authentic slice of Americana, ideal for those who appreciate the intersection of art, culture, and nostalgia. Add a touch of vintage charm to your space with this unique and original collectible.
