This is a one off, one of a kind knife made by Murray Carter. It is the only one like it and the most expensive knife he has ever made to this day! The blade is made from Shiro-ko and Ao-ko (white and blue) damascus steel.
The blade is entirely hand forged and sharpened with a custom handle and saya. The blade has a very beautiful and subtle damascus pattern that is completely unique. There is damascus on the backside (ura) of the blade which is very unique for a kata-ha (single-edged) knife. The handle is made from 100 year old Sonoran Desert Ironwood with real mammoth "bone" ferrule and end cap. There is a nickel bolster where the blade meets the handle and the saya is made from solid Ironwood. The knife was only used about three times in total. This is a collectors piece that you will never see again! Also, this exact knife was featured in Knife Magazine. Blade thickness: 5mm (near the bolster), 3mm (middle), 1.5mm (tip). Blade material: Hitachi white and blue steels, hand forged. Handle material: Desert Ironwood, mammoth "bone". If you have any questions please let me know.
