Henri Picard&Freres, La Chaux-de-fonds c1900's The watch has been awarded by Tsar Nicholas II to his personal bodyguard -the Caucasian Cossack officer Timofei Jaschik.

After 1916 Timofei become a personal bodyguard to Empres Maria Feodorovna and continued to work till her death in 1928. The watch comes from his family estate.

Very rare and unusual watch with a significant historical value. The watch has a special gunmetal case, which allow to the watch to be used as a desk watch-it opens through the button on the bottom and it can stay on the desk and used as an alarm clock, or can be used in the pocket as a alarm pocket watch. It has a special and very unusual high quality movement with alarm wheel inside. To set the alarm you have to rotate the side wheel till the requested hour. High grade 17 jewels movement, lever escapememnt, Breguet spiral, compensating balance wheel, gong and hammer, special alarm wheel with a pointer hand. Oversize gunmetal case decorated with the enamelled cypher of Tsar Nicholas II.

The watch is oversize;56mm in diameter. Fine enamel dial depicting portraits of Tsar Nicholas II and Empress Alexandra Feodorovna.
