Cosmetic condition and is working properly. I suspect this crystal radio was either a prototype that was not produced or someone, with incredible skill, made it from a dental torch base. I have used this crystal radio, with high impedance headphones, with a very long antenna and good ground, and picked up many stations loud and clear.

Please see the photos for a better description of the cosmetic condition. The black bakelite case has no damage or repairs. Dimensions are approximately 7 1/2" tall and 2 3/4" diameter at the base.
