There is only one known to exist. It was recovered during the demolition of GM buildings in Michigan. The sign was seen at the 2003 New York auto show and is believed to have been displayed for the re-release of the GTO for the 2004 model year. The sign was rescued from recycling by a sharp eyed Pontiac fan after the building in which it hung was demolished along with other nearby buildings.
