Special Edition BIG BUD Diecast Model Tractor Display One of a Kind Collectible

  
For sale are "one of a kind" Special Edition Big Bud 650/50 Grill Displays that are individually serial numbered with a matching numbered "medallion" of the steel that was used in the production of the Big Bud Tractors in about 1980. These are traceable back to the Big Bud Manufacturing Plant in Havre, MT. Each piece of steel is meticulously documented in photos and description so you know exactly what part of the tractor production it came from.

I worked primarily on the Series 3 and Series 4 tractors and was also involved with the industrial dozer and Friggstad scraper tractors. I designed some of the parts and built many of the jigs and fixtures for tractor production, Because I operated a small machine shop after hours, the management allowed me to take home some of the steel to use in projects. Most of it is long gone, but I think it is fitting to use the remaining pieces as a collectible piece of Big Bud history. This is a one of a kind chance for any collector, since to my knowledge this is some of a very small amount of steel in existence that can actually be traced to the production of Big Buds.

This 650/50 grill is CNC machined from 3/8 aluminum plate and the tractor "racks" are machined aluminum that is then black anodized. Overall size is approximately 12" x 12". Actual scale is just a bit over 6:1. The black acrylic grill and Big Bud nameplate are inset into the aluminum frame as are the mirrored headlights and amber turn lights. The process to get this right is fairly involved and requires the use of a custom vacuum fixture that is shown in one of the photos.

This particular item is being produced as a Special Edition and includes the Medallion of steel neatly incorporated into one of the desktop feet. The Grill can be used freestanding on a cabinet, desktop. Or inside a display case with the feet.

There are also built in wall hanging brackets to securely attach it to any vertical surface. The display comes with one each of a "rack" for the 1/64th tractors shown. ANY COMBINATION of "racks" can be ordered individually directly from us at a very reasonable cost. Information for "racks" to fit any tractors will be included with the product.

An assembly to hold one of the newest 1/32 series "Montana Monster" Series will be available also. This will replace the 4 individual ones shown.
