Bloom County One of a kind lot of Books, Cards, Calendar, Rarities, MUST SEE

You are looking at an incredible ONE OF A KIND "Bloom County" collection, by Berkeley Breathed. A lot of 8 books (2 limited editions), trading cards, a calendar, and some very rare items.

Bloom County: The Complete Library, Volumes I-V. These books are hard covered and in like new condition. They have never been read, and only opened in order to take the pictures. Strips are in color, and the dailies are B/W just like they would have appeared in the newspaper. There are introductions, and commentaries in each by Breathed. This is a limited edition signed volume. The first page was signed and numbered by Berkeley Breathed. There were only 1000 copies signed and marked. This one is marked #924 of 1000 on the bottom right of the signed page.

These are some of the best years of the strip as Breathed hit his stride as a master satirist, and takes aim at pop culture, celebrities, and politics. If you notice in the pictures, there are 2 versions of this volume. Has all white lettering and picture on the spine. It seems this was a printing error of the first editions, as the rest of them have gold leaf lettering.

This was corrected later, but not before some got out to the public. This makes this copy rare and hard to find.

There is a black ink dot on the closed pages of this volume. This is the only blemish on the set. Of this volume has the gold stamped lettering on the spine, and is the very rare and limited Re-marqued edition.

There were only 100 of these made in this volume. Each edition contains Breathed's signature, and a one-of a kind hand drawn picture by Berkeley Breathed himself, of one of the characters of the Bloom County cast. The characters vary from copy to copy. This copy's picture is of resident hacker, scientist, and genius, Oliver Wendell Jones. One of the lesser used, and rare characters in the cast.

I have seen many of these copies with pictures of Bill the Cat, Opus, even Binkley, but I have yet to see another copy with Jones. These pictures are also numbered in the bottom right corner. This one is marqued #48 of 100. This volume alone is a collector's dream. Bloom County Episode XI: A New Hope (2016).

In 2008 Breathed retired from daily comics in order to focus on children's books. In 2015 he came out of retirement and started to publish Bloom County again using social media outlets such as Facebook to distribute the resurrected strip. The next year he published those strips in this book.

This copy is hard covered, brand new and still shrink wrapped. Bloom County: Brand Spanking New Day (2017). This was the next book published of the new strips. It is also brand new, hard covered and still shrink wrapped. 1995 Bloom County Outland Chromium 100 Foil Trading Card Set by Krome Productions. This is a complete set of 100 Bloom County trading cards in "like new " condition. These are gorgeous, high-quality cards of various scenes of the strip that were printed in 1995. The last few cards connect to make the large Opus picture you see in the description. They are individually numbered, and in a hard plastic box. Very cool collector's item!

2017 Bloom County 16 Month Wall Calendar. Obviously, this calendar is outdated, but it is a nice way to display some of the classic strips in a larger format. Maybe even frame a few.
