This dog figurine is hand-carved out of Copal wood and painted completely by hand in various colors such as yellow ochre, turquoise, peach, white, black and others. Crafted by the famous and incredibly talented artists Mario y Reina Castellanos from Arrazola, Oaxaca, México.

The master carver Mario Castellanos is one of the most talented and sought after Oaxacan wood carvers out there. His work is fantastic, filled with intricate character and incredible level of detail and precision. This figurine is one of a kind and it is signed by the artist in the bottom.
