I was told that shapleigh hardware gave one of their employee's this hatchet and that was something they did for christmas gifts and had his name and hometown and the year stamped on the back but either the company "which i dont know why" didnt stamp their logo on the front above the dog or else the employee grinded it away or maybe it never got stamped, i honestly have no idea but thats what i was told so im just passing it along. This hatchet is well used and in fair condition. I rubbed some different colored chalk to the stamping on front and back to show up better. The head measures 4 5/8" long and the blade measures 3" wide and overall length is 13. Any questions please ask and I will answer them as quickly as possible and to the best of my knowledge.
