One-of-a-kind handmade knife, 8 1/4" blade 1 5/8" at the widest point, approx. 1/4" thick, 13 1/4" OAL.

Celtic knot dragon carved handles. Blade Material: carbon steel, made from a commercial lawnmower blade, Rotary brand Part #6083. Handle Material: Hand Carved Dogwood (salvaged from a tree blown over by Hurricane Michael). Custom Leather Sheath Included: full-grain cowhide, hand stitched, ambidextrous, small-of-the-back carry, all hardware on the sheath is solid brass. This knife has been edge-quenched to produce a hard edge, springy center, and tough spine. Balance point is just past the index finger. Grip feels very solid and comfortable for most hand sizes, including those with quite large hands. Like every knife I make, this knife is a complete one-of-a-kind (I make many knives that are a little similar, but I never duplicate). It was made completely by hand by a single artisan (me) in a shop, not a factory.

Many of my knives are made from Rotary brand commercial mower blades (I used to be a landscaping contractor for the DOT), which fortunately makes excellent knives. I don't know the specific alloy, but it works and heat treats like a tough tool steel and has very good edge-retention qualities.
