One-of-a-Kind Original Simpsons Sculpts Prototypes By Fox for Rocket USA. In 2002, Rocket USA released a line of Simpsons Die Cast Figures and in order to create the molds, they commissioned Fox sculptors to sculpt the figures which would be used in the tool/mold making.

As customary in the industry, 2 sets were created. One set was sent to China to be used in the mold making and those were eventually damaged and tossed during the tool/mold making process. The second set was an emergency back up and I beleieve they were also displayed at Toy Fair for the sneak peek launch of the die cast series. The set was eventually stored in archives until Rocket USA closed down and the assets were auctioned off.

I believe they are all made of resin. Marge is the tallest measuring 3.25 tall. Groundskeeper Willie is 2.75. Grandpa Simpson is 2.75.
