Star Trek TOS DeFOREST KELLEY Bones Dr McCoy CHILDHOOD HOME Brick-ONE OF A KIND
Up for sale is a great piece of Star Trek TOS history and a unique present for the true Star Trek fan. Your very own piece of a home where DeForest Kelley spent part of his childhood before he headed off to California. His birthday is January 20th, so celebrate the day with part of his history. My partner is an architect. She designed a new home for a client in Decatur, GA. The home being torn down to make room for the new one is where DeForest Kelley and his family lived when DeForest was a teenager, 226 Landsdowne Ave. He attended and graduated from Decatur Boys High School.
These are original bricks made from red Georgia clay from the front porch seen in the pictures of the house. I imagine him running up the steps on the front porch and walking in the door after school every day. My partner, who is also a historic preservationist has created a letter of authenticity attesting to the fact that the bricks I removed are the original bricks used when the house was built. It is one of the pictures in this listing. You are purchasing one (1) brick.
There are five bricks in the pictures; that's only to show the different variations in the bricks. One of the pictures is from DeForest's Wikipedia bio.
It talks about his time in Decatur. Another is a listing from a city directory from 1936 that shows the Kelleys living at 226 Lansdowne Avenue in Decatur. Contact me with any questions!
