Upon further examination this was not a factory OEM pearl wick trash can. It is a pearl wick trashcan full of small business matchbooks in the Michigan area. We are talking mid century America.

Yes you got it right, these pictures are matchbook pictures. Some creative, curious, genius of a person took the time to customize this trashcan. We are looking at history and it looks sweet. It would be next to impossible to get all these match boxes today. This is truly one of a kind. The last picture I put a filter on it just to kind of show you potentially of what it could look like back in the day. We are looking at a time capsule of Detroit, Grand Rapids, metroplex area in mid century America. We are talking the car and steel age of automobile production.
