1940s Antique Kayseri Bunyan Handmade Rug. 6 ft 5 inches x 9 ft 9 inches / 192 cm x 290 cm. A very beautiful Antique Kayseri Bunyan rug from Turkey. In great condition for its age (See condition/ photos) It is from 1940s. So it is about 80 years old!

The carpets woven in Kayseri and its surroundings make up the major part of Turkish carpet art. Kayseri carpets fall into two groups: Bunyan carpets and Yahyali carpets. The wrap of Bunyan carpets is cotton and the weaving thread is wool or floss silk. They produced one-of-a-kind vegetable dyed handmade carpets.
