One of a Kind American Flag Gift from Italy Royal Family

Absolutely a ONE OF A KIND!! A 48-star flag with sequin and gold thread stars, double sided. Metal fringe is sewn into fabric and I believe every piece is still intact. Measurements are 50" x 67".

See photos for details and condition. There are stains and tears. Flag reads "Dono della loggia/princpessa jolanda". This is embroidered on lower end of fly and translates into Donated to Lodge by Princess Jolanda. She married Count Calvi di Bergolo in 1923 and was the only daughter of the couple to marry outside royal family.

A true piece of history! This 48 Star American flag made in Italy by the royal family and donated by Princess Yolanda of Savoy. Most likely as a gift after her father King Victor Emmanuel III of Italy deposed Mussolini in 1943 to join the allies to defeat Fascism during World War II!
