One-of-a-kind handmade Skinning knife, 4 1/4 blade approx. Blade Material: carbon steel, forged from a broken wood-chipper blade. Hilt and pommel: Solid Brass.

Custom Leather Sheath Included: full-grain cowhide, hand stitched, right handed. This knife has been edge-quenched to produce a hard edge, springy center, and tough spine.

Balance point is between the index and middle finger. The grip feels quite comfortable for just about any hand size. As you can seen in the pictures the grain of the wood is quite spectacular. Because of this I went a little O. On the finish (as in a couple dozen coats of Birchwood Casey Tru-oil), so the handle looks like it's been coated in glass - under natural sunlight it is quite mesmerizing to look at.

Like every knife I make, this knife is a complete one-of-a-kind (I make many knives that are a little similar, but I never duplicate). It was made completely by hand by a single artisan (me) in a shop, not a factory.

Be aware, potential buyers, this knife is CARBON STEEL NOT STAINLESS, meaning that it must be cared for - dry it off if it gets wet, don't expose it to salt water, etc. A simple polishing every few years with Brasso, Nevr-Dull or similar product will keep the brass looking bright and new for decades to come.
