ONE OF A KIND VINTAGE JAMES W. TUFTS QUADRUPLE PLATE With US BATTLESHIP MAINE

  

A rare example to commemorate a sad historical sinking and in great Shape Made by James W. On the bottom, that is stamped along with Warranted and Quadruple Plate. The number 3469 also is on the bottom.

The front has an image of the US Maine old battleship on the water and it says. Battleship Maine Destroyed by Explosion February 15th, 1898. It has a military and historic History to it.

It measures 2 1/4" tall and 1 3/4" wide. It's in excellent condition. Tufts silver plate was in business from 1875 to 1915 in Boston MA.

The destruction of the USS Maine was a major contributing factor in the beginning of the Spanish American War. James Tufts turned the business over to his son Leonard in 1895 and moved to North Carolina. The item "ONE OF A KIND VINTAGE JAMES W.
