Friz Freleng developed the character Sylvester, a cat with a sloppy lisp who first appeared in1945 in the Oscar nominated "Life With Feathers" voiced by Mel Blank and animated by Robert and Tom McKimson. The first paring of the famous duo, Sylvester and Tweety occurred in the 1947 "Tweetie Pie" which won the Academy Award that year for Best Short Subject. Sylvester has appeared with his innocent but wise son, Sylvester Jr. Along with Foghorn Leghorn, Elmer Fudd and Hippety Hopper in nearly 100 classic Looney Tunes cartoons. This orginal, one of a kind Sylvester and Sylvester Jr.

Came from Charles McKimson's personal collection. It comes with a certificate of authenticity, and a custom frame which includes Tru Vue Conservation Glass. The image measures approximately12" W X 10"H and framed 20 X 18H.
