This is a rare, one-of-a-kind, custom-made queen-size bed comforter made of 21 Botswana Kalahari jackals in 2008. And tanned by a Kalahari Bushman named Supa in Kang Botswana Africa. Enclosed is the picture of Supa and his wives and the comforter being treated on the ground to soften the hides. This item when brought back to the United States in 2009, and was mounted onto a commercial bed comforter as a backing, to be used regularly as bed comforter.
This item when not used is stored in a climate control setting. It has only been used as a specialty display on rare occasions. At the time Jackals were an endangered species in Botswana and only Bushmen were allowed to hunt them. The head and tail sections are visible on the blanket.
This is probably the only item like this in North America.
