Place it next to your bed, sink or add it to your midcentury furniture for the ultimate look in midcentury sleekness. Made by the Harspwell house in Maine. These pieces are highly collectible and very valuable. The label on the bottom says it all, made from "300 million year old" material. These particles were compressed under tremendous pressures and temperatures during upheavals of the earth's surface, forming the material we now call slate.
Different colors of slate are determined by the color of the mud that was present at the time it was formed, black slate from Eastern Pennsylvania to craft our products. This treasure will be fully insured and wrapped with the utmost of care to ensure safe arrival. I pride myself on giving excellent service and bringing outstanding items to new homes. Harpswell house is still in business, handcrafting all of their materials at their workshop in Maine. This piece just screams midcentury modern.
It is designer, high-end and truly one of a kind. Each piece of slate brings it's own characteristics due to how it was formed. Plus, this piece features desirable roseewood, in a rich brown color, with it's own veining that complements that of the slate. The dish cup is asymmetrical, giving it even more clout and uniqueness. The dish is about the size of the palm of your hand (although my hands are on the long side). Measuring 5" in length, 3" in width and 0.5 in depth. You will be hard pressed to find another piece like this, EVER! Plus, condition is pristine on both the slate and wood. The original label is complete on the back of the piece. There are zero chips, scratches or any other detractions.
